ABOUT A DECENT PROPOSAL:

We’ve all seen it in the movies, magazines, and television (reality and otherwise!): men getting down on one knee, declaring undying love for the object of their affection. Partly due to my obsession with dramatic, romantic moments in movies, I have come to expect and want one of those moments for myself, despite my perpetually single state of being. We live in a modern world and it seems that you can really buy anything, so why not the proposal of my dreams?
I know there are millions of creative, handsome, talented, successful, men out there, and I want them to propose to me. I’m sure you’re asking what do the suitors get out of it? Well, they get the opportunity to present me with a real proposal to marry me.
Here is a list of benefits I can offer a suitor:
*internet fame and publicity
*money (how does a $30,000 nest egg sound?)
*a honeymoon–somewhere tropical is my preference!
*a ring
*a new home (and a second home in Lake Tahoe!)
*all that goes on behind closed doors, shhh.
*emotional security
*good cooking
*what else do you need?
So, now that you’re reeled in, you say, how can I win this wonderful woman over? How can I show her all that I have to offer so she will choose me? All you have to do is propose! Beginning June 27, 2009, you will find me combing the streets of New York City, followed by: Baltimore, Washington DC, Frankfurt, Berlin, Copenhagen, Chicago, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, and…wherever you want me to be! See the ADP Tour Dates page for details.
Whether you run into me on the street, or send me your written ideas or a video of your ideas for a proposal, I will pay you between $1-20. If you receive $20 you have been put into my shopping bag and will have the opportunity to propose in person.
Good luck!
Joanna

This is very amusing and fun! You are a pretty enough girl so I don’t see why you are ‘perpetually single’. Do you get attached too quick? You never came to Canada either. Let’s face it, we know how to keep a girl warm here
Hello Mike,
First, thank you. I haven’t come up with a solid reason for mostly being single. It seems like rather than getting attached too quickly, I take my time, and by the time I do get attached, the guy has moved on. But, this has actually saved me from some less than amazing men in retrospect. Ha.
Anyway, no I haven’t been to Canada in a while. I have never met a Canadian I didn’t like, and that’s good news about keeping girls warm! If you are interested, you should know that distance need not be a deterrent for us getting to know each other. If you have a great proposal idea, you should send it to me by way of video, twitter, facebook, email, or blog comment!
